Use the Zoom & Pan tools to magnify or shrink your photo in the Work area (zooming), or to move it up and down, or right and left (panning). Photos can be zoomed dynamically using the mouse, or specifically according to a zoom factor.

Note: It is only the onscreen display of the photo that is magnified or shrunk. The dimensions of the actual photo remain unchanged.


To find the tools:

  1. Click the Photos button on the Navigation panel.

  2. Click the Edit Photo icon located below the buttons.

  3. Find the Zoom tool on the Toolbar. Click the tool, and two tools are displayed in a flyout, Zoom and Pan. The other four Zoom tools are found below the photo in the Settings area.

Zoom

  1. Use this tool to zoom in and out of a photo dynamically using the mouse. The tool is grouped with the Pan tool on the Toolbar. If the Zoom tool is not visible, click and hold the Pan tool, and select the Zoom tool from the flyout displayed.

  2. Click and hold the left mouse button over the photo, and drag the mouse to dynamically magnify or shrink the photo.


Pan

  1. Use this tool to shift the viewpoint of a photo dynamically using the mouse. The tool is grouped with the Zoom tool on the Toolbar. If the Pan tool is not visible, click and hold the Zoom tool, and select the Pan tool from the flyout displayed.

  2. Click and hold the left mouse button over the photo, and drag the mouse to dynamically shift the photo up and down, or left and right. Note that this tool does not function if the entire photo is visible in the Work area.


Zoom In

  1. Click this tool to double the size of a photo. The tool is located in the Settings area below the photo.

    Alternatively, click Zoom In on the View menu, or press the shortcut keys [Ctrl] + [Num+] to zoom the photo.


Zoom Out

  1. Click this tool to reduce the size of a photo by half. The tool is located in the Settings area below the photo.

    Alternatively, click Zoom Out on the View menu, or press the shortcut keys [Ctrl] + [Num-] to zoom the photo.


Zoom to Fit

  1. Click this tool to fit a photo to the size of the Work area. The tool is located in the Settings area below the photo.

    Alternatively, click Zoom to Fit on the View menu, or press the shortcut keys [Ctrl] + [Num*] to zoom the photo.


Zoom 1:1

  1.  Use this tool to reset the photo to its actual size. The tool is located in the Settings area below the photo.

    Alternatively, click Zoom 100% on the View menu, or press the shortcut keys [Ctrl] + [Num/] to zoom the photo.


Zoom by a Factor

  1. Specify a zoom factor, expressed as a percentage, in the value field provided. Use the + / - buttons to increase / decrease the zoom factor in increments of 10 percent.
